Page Title Tags
The wording or more importantly the correct wording of your Title
Page tag is considered one of the most vital things you need to
consider. Additionally, every other page should have a Page Title
tag that directly reflects the content of the displayed page, with
perhaps 2 or 3 of your keyword phrases throughout.
Search Engine results often display the Title Page tag in the search
results and this is generally the first thing your website visitors
see.
Below the Title Page tag is a description which will be either taken
from your meta name description content or from the first sentence
on your page.
Again, the description you utilise should re-enforce your keywords
throughout the description, however, please bear in mind that it
is not a good idea to stuff it with your keywords.
It is considered good practice to have a different Page Title and
meta description tags on each page of your website. Yes it can take
time, however, the long term benefits far outweigh a hastily prepared
and poorly designed or constructed website.
The Title Page should reflect the nature of that page and with
this in mind, experiment with the amount of keywords or keyword
phrases that you use within the Title Page. Again, do not overstuff
the amount of keywords or keyword phrases within your Title Page.
